Starship Simulator

About Eric

Eric E. Britt is the composer for video games, film, and the concert hall leading all projects through Orchestorm LLC. His latest project is the highly anticipated Starship Simulator, a project for which his work has been featured on IGN and other established game news outlets.

Eric began his journey in 2013; pursuing a Bachelor's in Music at Elmhurst University. During his time at the university, he heard several of his original works performed by professional chamber ensembles. Two of his compositions won competitions and were published in the MiddleWestern Voice Journal.

In 2018, Eric graduated and immediately work started as a Game Composer, signing on to score Underspace just one month after finishing his degree. Between various sci-fi epics he has composed for projects demanding the sounds of orchestral fantasy, 19th century romanticism, and 21st century concert music.

What's said most about Eric's work is that his music has a unique sound. It's best characterized as a fusion of modern film scoring and turn of the 20th century concert music. The "why" of every artistic decision is at the heart of all of his projects; the "how" starts with his orchestration training in college.

Eric excels when working with creators who are passionate about their projects. As his saying goes, he is always happy to discuss your vision and the music to complete the picture.

Eric is an amazing composer and we wouldn't have the Starship Simulator sound without him :) https://t.co/cu5gd1S5zl

[Telestians' score contains] powerful, epic compositions of war and triumph. It’s as subtle as something that might accompany an Imperial procession in the Warhammer universe; not subtle at all. It definitely adds to the immersion, making you truly feel like a great warlord riding towards victory or death. All in all, the game totally knows how to create a mood.

From start to finish, working with Eric was a very enlightening and fun time! I am not a guru of music, so I really appreciated Eric's knowledge of music composition throughout the process of making tracks for the project I brought him on. He was able to bring form to the ideas I had in my head, and was very receptive to the feedback I had for his drafts to better align them with what I had in mind. If you are looking for a composer who knows their stuff and is happy to share their knowledge with you throughout the process, Eric is one such composer I'd recommend!

Eric's soundtrack for Court of Ashes remains one of the most pervasive features of the game and it does so for good reason, it’s wonderful.
