- A basic understanding of music notation:
- Ability to identify C on a piano, clefs, meters and so on
- Beginner band/orchestra experience is highly positive
- Music notation software: Musescore (free), Dorico, and other programs communicate well with each other in lessons.
- A tablet or computer for composing and remote Zoom lessons
- Have fun!
