I am quite proud of this composition, which I consider to be one of my strongest works to date. The inspiration for this piece came from a melody that I heard in a dream. I also incorporated a JRPG-inspired motif from the soundtrack. My favorite aspect of the composition is not only the brass lead, but also the climactic crescendo that leads up to the conclusion of harps and toy instruments.

Shahnama: Book of Kings
The ongoing work for the soundtrack of Shahnama is a product of a six months-long study and immersion in middle eastern and Indian music. I studied with Palistinean-American instructor Ronnie Malley, who taught me an understanding of Middle Eastern music theory, instrument writing, and regional differences down to the very microtones different parts of the world use.

I’ve lived with middle eastern and Indian music from the start of and past the conclusion of my studies. It is always my mission to honor a project, and I learn everything I can to achieve that objective.
